Find the scarce step
Map the path from customer insight to published asset. The bottleneck might be recording product footage, fluent translation or client permission rather than design. Adding more designers will not solve a missing factual review.
Separate a new concept from resizing an approved asset. Reuse can be efficient, but label it accurately. Ten exports of one idea should not become ten claims of creative learning.
Estimate the production work
| Work | Capacity question |
|---|---|
| Research | Is the customer situation and claim evidence ready? |
| Brief | Can the creator understand one clear task? |
| Production | Are footage, screens and original files available? |
| Review | Who checks facts, language and permissions? |
| Release | Are placement, destination and version records correct? |
Reserve room for rework. A plan that assumes every first draft passes review is fragile.
Worked example: the calendar exceeds the editor's time
Illustrative example: an editor has twelve usable hours in a week. Three new demonstrations need four hours each before revisions. Scheduling those three plus six cutdowns leaves no space for feedback, caption corrections or urgent fixes.
Choose two demonstrations and the most useful adaptations, or move the release date. The decision should reflect the test question. Producing fewer concepts with accurate proof can be more useful than rushing a broad collection of vague claims.
Make reuse deliberate
Maintain approved product footage, claim records, fonts and language references. Reuse those materials while changing the buying situation or explanation where the hypothesis requires it. Reuse is not permission to keep an outdated price or an unsupported feature in every new asset.
Track revision causes. Repeated factual corrections indicate a briefing problem; repeated layout fixes indicate an incomplete placement specification. Improve the production process before increasing output targets.
Set next week's workload
List the available hours in the bottleneck role and the readiness of each concept. Choose work that fills a real gap in the creative portfolio. Include a review owner, release check and source record for every strong claim.
