Make the purchase concrete
Show the actual product and supported specifications. Distinguish accessories or props from included items. Keep variants, dimensions and quantity visible. A dramatic image should not imply a larger item or additional components the customer will not receive.
State the total amount and actual delivery conditions. If charges vary by supported destination, resolve the amount before the customer's final commitment. Do not leave the courier to explain an unexpected increase.
Use an expectation checklist
| Detail | Consistency check |
|---|---|
| Product | Advertisement and order record describe the same item |
| Variant | Customer choice matches picking and packing |
| Quantity | Image and copy do not imply more units |
| Dimensions | Units and scale are clear |
| Total payable | Includes the relevant disclosed charges |
| Delivery | Timing and conditions match actual service |
Check the confirmation message too. Accurate page copy can be undone by an agent making a different promise.
Worked example: the image suggests a set
Illustrative example: an ad shows three items, while the price covers one. A customer orders expecting the set and refuses the parcel. Calling this only a “low-quality lead” misses the communication failure.
Clarify the purchased quantity in the main creative, page and confirmation. If several package options exist, make the chosen package visible in the order record. Use actual product photographs or accurately labeled mockups.
Learn from mature refusal reasons
Review recorded expectation-related refusals alongside the original ad and order. Compare like products and periods. A campaign can create more orders while worsening delivered contribution if its main promise is misunderstood.
Choose one recurring mismatch and repair every touchpoint carrying it. Use the return-reason guide to separate marketing, fulfillment and product causes.
